Audio Card Drivers! PLEASE, I can’t get anything to work. I don’t know what is wrong. ?
OK… Long story short… Uninstalled Windows XP Service Pack 3 and it uninstalled my audio drivers.
Microsoft/Windows Update doesn’t detect it and won’t auto install the drivers… I have tried everythng there…
Googl’ing only led me to programs that would tell me what I need only if I pay for their program…
Would of the info below be of help?
Can anyone tell me what I need?
I tried EVEREST Home Edition and it says that I have:

Since the sound is built into the Motherboard then you need to download the Motherboard drivers here:
While there, find the latest Bios update.

Your mother board has onboard audio: either of the following:
8-channel (7.1) audio subsystem using the SigmaTel* STAC9271 audio codec
OR
8-channel (7.1) audio subsystem using the SigmaTel* STAC9271D audio codec and Dolby* Home Theater certification
you find the drivers here:

this might help you..windows update cannot update something that is not there, but it should let you download the drivers..go to microsoft drivers xp and snoop around.there should be a place to download what you need.i did it there…if all else fails and you are nervous go to Worldstart.com, it’s easy to navigate and will have all the info you need and links to getting there! luck! by the way do you have service pack 2?

If you are having a problem with your audio driver, one solution is to go open your device manager and check the audio driver there. If it has a problem, then you may have to uninstall and reinstall it.
Before you do anything, find out what sound card you have? Or, if yours is built on the motherboard, use the link below to download the drivers directly from intel. Hope it helps.
