Property Management Software

hey this has been bothering me i solved a few problems yesterday the problem being a sign comin up saying corrupt or unreadable files/programs and none of my programs would start etc but fixed that with chkdsk i think but i have problem now a number of things like in control panel nothing happens when i click the security button windows security and in management console it says snap-in failed to initialize and when i right click and choose properties on ‘My Computer’ or try download any programs it comes up ‘bad image’ error and various windows problems some1 suggested the whole ’sfc/scannow’ thing but sum1 has my xp cd so thats out the window for now but i need help i don’t want my comp to screw up i have alot of important data and all my anti-spyware/anti-virus programs detected and cleaned stuff but that aint the problem and ran reg mechanic too, any help would be appreciated thanks.
